In Mexico, community radio continues to be paradigmatic in terms of the social relations and social bond that trigger their communicational political projects. As in any type of station, in the community radios music has a central role. The objective of the present work is to analyze, based on a case study, the social role that music plays in the implementation of the political communicational project of a community radio when operating in a specific context.
