This article shows an overview in the academic field about the creation  and production of photography of women. Taking into account the socio-historic  difficulties for the incorporation of women in the practice, circulation, and  dissemination of the photographic practice, the gender studies have allowed  academic research processes compared to photography with feminist perspective  to the extent of consolidating a scenario of vital emergency and presence of  female photographers in Latin America. Review part of these researches will  enrich future projects around the subject, as well as becoming in a component for  an academic debate about the practice of photography by women.
