Using codes relating to physical theater, there has emerged a commitment to the exploration of new kinds of stage knowledge and practice which have allowed for the deconstruction of traditional forms with a view to establishing new dramaturgical outlooks involving the body, physical expression and performance. In this sense, the particular dramaturgical experience referred to in this article takes as its starting point the movement classes of the Department of Theatre Arts of Del Valle University, in Cali, Colombia. The application of a certain kind of physical training led to stage productions where the use of the body was foregrounded as an element of autonomous representation, its development allowed for a dramaturgy of the body involving stage creations, and these dramaturgical experiences all involved the body, physical expression and performance.
