RETRACTION POLICY
The Nexus journal publishes corrections and retractions following the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), which can be consulted at https://publicationethics.org/retraction-guidelines
Retraction is a mechanism that informs and alerts readers that an article contains erroneous or defective information, rendering the results and conclusions unreliable. This may be due to either an honest error or research misconduct.
The editorial committee of the Nexus journal will issue a retraction as soon as possible if any of the following situations are confirmed:
1. Redundant publication, meaning when authors present the same data in different publications.
2. Constitutes plagiarism.
3. Results have been previously published elsewhere without proper source attribution or communication to the editor, permission for republication, or justification (e.g., cases of redundant publication).
4. Contains unauthorized material or data usage.
5. Copyright infringement or other significant legal issues exist (e.g., defamation, privacy).
6. Contains unethical research.
7. The publication is the result of a compromised or manipulated peer review process.
8. The author/authors did not declare a significant conflict (i.e., a conflict of interest) that, according to the editor, would have affected interpretations, work, or recommendations of editors and peer reviewers.
Retraction notices will include the following:
- Clearly identified as a retraction.
- Linked to all electronic versions of the article.
- The retraction header will clearly identify the author and the article title.
- It will be stated who is retracting the article, whether the author or the journal editor, and the reasons for it.
- Potentially defamatory statements will be avoided.
